Glitter stranded as UK announces 'purely coincidental' paedophile laws

Convicted paedophile and former glam rocker Gary Glitter is stranded at Bangkok airport, refusing to board flights to Britain.
The standoff came as the home secretary announced new plans to restrict the movements of paedophiles in and out of Britain.
The home office has told this programme that the timing is "purely coincidental".
Glitter, travelling under his real name Paul Gadd, refused to take a connecting flight after a stopover in Thailand following his deportation from Vietnam.
The Thai authorities have prevented him from leaving the transit lounge to enter their country.
