Knowles sisters shining bright

Beyonce and Solange Knowles have credited their upbringing for their glittering careers.

The Destiny's Child star explained: "I grew up with both my parents and with my sister and with my cousins and Kelly (Rowland) and all the girls and there was always a lot of love in my house."

Solange has managed to follow in the footsteps of her big sister with the acclaim of her second album, Sol-Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams.

The singer said parents and their faith has helped them keep their feet on the ground.

"I guess God looks out for us and that's why we all have been able to establish the level of success that we have, " she added.

"And not only that, both of my parents came from very humble beginnings and instilled that in us and it keeps us humble and I guess it's a blessing."
